Got a great face? The extra casting call team behind the film adaptation of the best-selling novel “Hunger Games” is hosting another open casting call from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Cleveland Mall, 2001-53 E. Dixon Blvd., in Shelby.
The agency is specifically looking for adults ages 18-80, according to an announcement on The Artemis Casting Call Facebook page. “Artemis” is the production title for “Hunger Games,” which is going to be filmed May-August in various areas of North Carolina.
More than a thousand adults will be needed during the course of filming. All background will be paid and should be available to work multiple days. All attending should bring a non-returnable snapshot which can printed off computer on regular paper.

Specifically, the agency is looking for “farmer, factory worker and/or coal miner types, “adult women, slender to average frame, light brown to dark brown or grey hair,” “males and females that could resemble/portray those of Depression Era.,” “man with a handlebar mustache or unique/unusual facial hair, and “military types, ages 20-50, with a height 6-feet-2 that wear a size 42 jacket.”
Three other casting calls have already been held in North Carolina. The only youths to be seen at this call are those ages 10-17 of slender frame with brown hair that could resemble/portray those of Depression Era. All of which must be available to work 2-6 days, according to the announcement.
