All My Children has in recent weeks welcomed back Josh Duhamel (as Leo), Thorsten Kaye (Zach), Esta TerBlanche (Gillian) and Cady McClain (Dixie) — and more alumni encores are on the way. But sadly, Leven Rambin’s participation in the first Hunger Games film has precluded Lily Montgomery’s anticipated homecoming.
“Unfortunately, there was a scheduling conflict with The Hunger Games, which is filming in North Carolina,” the actress told Soap Opera Digest of her scrapped return to Pine Valley. “Sad, sad, sad! But I’m pleased that I was able to take part in the 40th anniversary show last year.”

In making the announcement, ABC promised that AMC “will end in a manner that respects the show’s legacy and honors its history,” with the series’ final episodes paying tribute to “the stories of the families that fans have grown to know and love over the years.”
In addition to previously announced returnees such as Josh Duhamel, Eva La Rue, Carol Burnett, ABC has confirmed that Leven Rambin (Grey’s Anatomy) will make her way back to Pine Valley as Jackson Montgomery’s autistic daughter, Lily.

It looks the Alexander and Dayo had fun zip-lining through parts of North Carolina on Sunday as well.
